Lutah Maria Riggs

Come see the documentary about Lutah Maria Riggs at the Jefferson State FliXX Festival.

Lutah A Passion for Architecture: A Life in Design was completed in 2014 and focuses on the life of the female architect, Lutah Maria Riggs (1896-1984). It is a story of hardship and hard work; it is a story with a strong female character. Lutah Maria Riggs was the first woman in California to be named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. It is a story that champions an underrepresented voice. LUTAH is beautifully told through Lutah Maria Riggs’s architectural accomplishments — and those whose lives intersected with hers. It is an inspirational story; it is an extraordinary story.
