Etna Fire Department Fund Raiser Concert
Don’t miss our fantastic LOCAL TALENT on Saturday, December 1 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Avery Theatre. Come early to check out Main Street at 6 p.m. for the lighting of the Christmas Tree then prepare for some wonderful entertainment. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets available at Wildwood Crossing in Etna, Marble Rim Gallery in Fort Jones, the Yreka Chamber of Commerce and Scott Valley Bank.
Fort Jones Lions emergency firewood program
The Fort Jones Lions Club is continuing its program of providing one load of firewood during the winter to qualified citizens who are residents of Scott Valley and who are unable to obtain their own supply.
The program is intended only as an emergency measure for those in dire need of wood to tide them over until they can procure a long-term solution.

Turkey Trot – Another successful run…
Ninety-four-year-old Granny Hammond, Scott Valley resident, won the 90+ women’s division for this Thanksgiving’s Annual Turkey Trot. Over 350 runners and walkers participated in the 8th race. Participants ranged in age from 3-94 and ran or walked three or six miles. The event is a fundraiser for both elementary schools in the valley.
